I Love Marketing!

I love marketing! Always have! In fact, my parents say that, even as a little kid, I enjoyed watching the adverts more than the TV programmes!  

However, I understand that, for most solo entrepreneurs and small business owners, marketing isn't a love.  It's another thing on your already busy to-do list, that you wish you didn't have to do.

If I had a magic wand that I could offer entrepreneurs to help them get their marketing done, I'd be a millionaire right now.  

Unfortunately, there's no such thing! But whilst I can't offer a magic wand, I can offer some marketing magic sauce, in the form of helpful tips and useful advice to help you make marketing your business easier!

I’ve worked in marketing for almost 30 years - but have specialised in helping small business owners for the last 19 years.

For the first 14 years of my career I worked in corporate marketing, for some well-known, international brands, in all sorts of market sectors, including manufacturing, motor, retail, agency, media and sport, for both business-to-business (B2B), business-to-consumer (B2C) and some B2B and B2C companies!  

I started my own marketing consultancy back in 2004. At the time, some of my friends were starting small businesses and picking my brain about the best way to market them, so I realised there was an opportunity to use my corporate marketing knowledge to help small business owners grow their businesses too. 

Having experienced both the corporate and local side of business marketing has been really advantageous, as it’s enabled me to take the success principles used by big businesses, and adapt them to make them more manageable and implementable by busy local business owners, to create successful small business marketing strategies.
